About Braille Literacy Canada
Ashley Shaw - Director
Ashley is a Strategic Writer and Accessible Community Engagement Coordinator at CNIB Ontario. She has a BA in Sociology with a Minor in Psychology from Wilfrid Laurier University, with a focus on social inequity and critical disability theory. Ashley has been a braille user since the age of four, and she advocates passionately for the availability of braille instruction and resources. She is particularly interested in the combined power of braille and technology to improve literacy and access to information for people who are blind.
